Just a quick question. We have Max 10 Server installed on our W2K3 server at teh office, and we get alot of syncing issues with our remotes. we currently run both MaxExchange Server and MaxExchange Server Manager on the Server 24-7 and have both processing packets to and from the remotes every 2 hours.

My question is this: Is it nessacary to run both of thses on the server at all times, or should only one or the other be running at all times. they both seem to do the exact same thing. I'm just wondering if running both is causing our syncing issues.

The Max Exchange Server application (if it is installed correctly) runs as a service under Windows. If you look in the Control Pannel>>Administrative Tools>>Services then you will be able to find Max Exchange Server listed as a service.

If that service is running then you have no need to run the desktop Max Exchange Server and doing so may infact interfere with the normal processing.

The Max Exchange Server Manager is an interface to the Max Exchange Service that allows you to manually process packets and setup the maintainence schedule if this is running or not makes no odds to service in the background.
