I assume that you are using Maximizer 97 (or earlier) as I have noted that later versions only ever offer one tray, and expect you to configure them through the printer driver by using the properties button.
The greyed out second tray seems to be a problem caused by a combination of Windows NT and the printer driver.
In my experience the problem only occurs when using the Maximizer word processor on an NT machine (it works OK on windows 95/98), possibly partly due to the fact that NT requires different versions of printer drivers.
Perhaps you could try installing an earlier or alternative printer driver than the one you currently use as Maximizer 97 is
now quite an old product and may be suffering compatibility problems (for example it may not show up the printer you are using in the printer box, on the page setup screen).
