Hope someone can help me. I'm a tech helping a ultra-non-tech who had Maximizer running on XP. He was infected by Ransomware where there the intruder encrypted all his user files... but the intruder did not find the Maximizer program directory under Program Files. This is where I believe I have found the data files too. I see a host of .ddf, .MAX, .MKD, and .NAM files, a few of which are of substantial size (mainly some of the .MAX files). I have recovered the MAXIMIZER program files directory to another (clean) external hard drive. Because I don't have the software installed properly (and I don't have the CDs, although the customer who is out of state might), there are no registry entries, or environment variables set, so nothing works. What I want to know is this: Is there any way that I can get my hands on a viewer of any kind or is there some way to get SQL or an open ODBC driver configured so that I can just sample what is in these files? I only need to see the contents in a fairly raw manner to see that the desired data is there, then we will probably see if the company can just take the data and import it some way into their new cloud product. Any help or ideas would be very useful. Thanks.
