Action Plans

I currently have an action plan set up that reminds a user to make a 10-day and 90-day followup phone call to their customer. What I would like is a way to have a certain form of questions that the user would have to fill out while talking to the customer before the task in the action plan can be completed. Is this a possibility? (Currently there are user defined fields in the customer's record, but those can't be set to mandatory because they can't be filled out until after 90 days.)

There is no simple way to fully achieve what you want. There are a number of approaches but either these will still rely heavily on the user to get it right or they would involve customisation using knowledgesync or a custom hook. The latest version of action plans does enforce a presidence in the order of the steps so it might be an improvement by asking the user to tick off a field completion task but it is not ideal. Making fields conditionally mandatory has been posted as a suggestion to Maximizer so maybe you will see something useful at a later date.
