I have answered my own question.
I spent another day reading the content at Maximizer.com. I have to say there is a tremendous lack of specificity on the website and lots of circular references.
http://www.maximizer.com/crm/For the entrepreneur I see no advantage to upgrading to CRM 11 from version 10. I welcome anyone to correct me on this.
Reading the Maximizer website, my initial understanding was that CRM 11 Entrepreneur offered web access to the database. I had a plan to start keeping notes in MS-Notes and out of Maximizer and drop MaxMobile Lite and just use the Windows Mobile contact address book. I spent the past week checking out a new smartphone (Windows Mobile or Android as both are mentioned as working with CRM 11).
From the Maximizer website, I understood that access via the web is included with CRM 11. If you use BlackBerry, you have to buy CRM Mobile. All set, ready to put down my money. Today I installed the 15 day demo of CRM 11 Entrepreneur but for the life of me could not figure out how to activate web access to the database.
More hours of going around in circles on the Maximizer website, I finally get to
http://www.maximizer.com/crm/editions.html where it reveals that web access is only available for the top two tier products: Group and Enterprise. Entrepreneur doesn't offer web access and Team version offers access only via Blackberry. I wish this was made clear up front and that the promo material did not give the impression CRM 11 regardless of version offers access via web.
So for now I'll stick with MaxMobile lite on the smartphone and CRM 10. However, a bigger problem, I have recommended a 5 seat license of Entrepreneur to a client with the understanding their Mac users will be able to access the database via web browser. This will not be the case now.
