I want to use Notes to record specific information captured in certain circumstances (think : Logging a Trouble Ticket or recording notes of an interview). What would the best tool be to use? Briefly looked at Max Form Designer but it seems totally hooked to Address Book entries - if I'm wrong, please let me know. Also need a reporting tool for these as noted below.
Requirements : Need to force selection of Trouble Area and a couple of other fields that are Max UDF's (lookup on Max table UDF items), mandatory recording of certain text (ie - entry required in certain fields but text can be free form), then a free form text area for notes. Would need to be able to look up, say All Notes where "Trouble Area" = XYZ. Would also need to embed in custom reports.
Please note this is not a Help Desk application, I just used it as an example.
