I'm using Maximizer 7 and Winfax 9.02. When I do a mail merge into a template my options are to PRINT, SKIP or PRINT ALL. Selecting PRINT ALL pulls up a Winfax screen and then proceeds to send faxes to the first phone # only. Faxes can only be sent by selecting PRINT one at a time. Is there a setting on Winfax that I'm missing or will a Winfax upgrade be necessary?

Second issue - when pressing PRINT individually a reference is saved under NOTES indicating a letter was sent to the respective individual, however, under DOCUMENTS it's blank? There is no record of the fax under DOCUMENTS to pull up later.

I have experienced similar problems with Fax merging.
However, i noticed that my problems usually only occurred when the fields were not filled out properly , as in a name missing (either first or last), etc. What seemed to happen was that Max send Winfax a blank field, which it filled with the next info, messing up the queue. And then often, it would spool multiple faxes to the same recipient. All the advice i can give is to be very careful to ensure the fields are full. For that reason, I have our company set (procedure wise) to manually cycle through the list of a broadcast fax (Print option, instead of print all) until we are sure that our lists are 100% accurate.

Also, the reason it spooled multiple faxes under winfax, seemed to be that Winfax would prompt for user input, while this occurred, any Max faxes sent to the program would automatically queue up as more pages for the document being prompted to the user.

The most important thing is to ensure that all contacts being faxed have all merge fields, and with proper format for long distance.

On that note, I am going to state for the record, that I hate recieving broadcast faxes. Big Grin
