After finally getting the new version to run, when I click on "new address book" and give it a name, it errors out with the following 2 messages -
1. Operation failed with error: Failed to create a new database: Clients
Please refer to the event log file 'MACC_20110126.log' for the error details.
(NOTE: logging for MaAccess should be enabled.)

2. Failed to connect due to invalid database entries found in the MaConfig table on the Maximizer database server.

Has anyone else seen this and if so, how did you resolve the problem.

The problem is very likely to be caused by incorrect initialisation of the instance Microsoft SQL server that is installed when you installed Maximizer. If you have the option in the Administrator to repair database this may resolve the problem but you may not be able to get into this menu due to the problems you are experiencing. The simplest solution will probably be to remove both Maximizer and the SQL cleaning up the machine (check for other SQL instances). Then re-install allowing Maximizer to perform a clean and correct SQL installation. Be sure that you protect your data during this process.

I always recommend installing the escona tutorial data to give you confidence your basic installation is working. It is not a complete guarantee in the circumstance you describe but will give you a good indication that all is well after you re-install.
