We have been getting the error "Error code 91: The application encountered a server error."
I looked it up on Maximizer website and this is what I got, " -The setting for the Number of Remote Sessions configuration option is too low. Return to the client/server setup utility and specify a higher value for this option."

Could somebody tell me where I can find the client/server setup utility and what should be the higher value????

Thank you soo much

What version of Maximizer are you running? I believe you have said before it was 5.5

Is it Btrieve or Pervasive? the setup utilities are in different places.

It may be to do with the amount of remote sessions able to access the server, which is configurable in the Pervasive Control Centre under Machine/Configuration/Server/Access (if you are running pervasive)

But i am more concerned with how many licences you have.

If again you have pervasive, Go to the Start Menu>Programs>Pervasive>Pervasive.SQL 2000i>Utilities>Moniter go to the MicroKernal drop down menu>Communications. Have you reached the peak of your 'Total Remote Sessions'?

Try resource usage in the same drop down, have you reached the peak of your 'Licences in use'?

We are running Pervasive SQL 2000. I have checked the Total remote sessions - Max 50, Peak 11, Current 4 and for Lincenses in use Current - 3, Peak - 11, Max 52.
I went into pervasive control centre but I couldn't find the machine/configuration/server/access section in there.

We are getting a lot of erroe code 91 and maximizer 5.5 crashes sometimes when somebody adds notes to a contact, but the information is saved when the person logs back in. The following message is also shown "Maxwin.exe - Application Error: The instruction at "0x00707122" referenced memory at "0x414e4144". The memory could not be "read"."

Thank you for your help

The contents of your Control Center depend on what version of Pervasive you have.

I think you might have to make the relevant modifications in the Registry, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pervasive Software\MicroKernel Server Engine\Version 7\Settings\Max Remote Sessions

Obviously don't forget to backup the relevant key first.

Or alternativly, Pervasive Software have a few reports of error 91, see if any of these are relevant (a lot of them reference IPX/SPX protocol? are you running with this or TCP/IP)
