I don't use Maximizer, but a client does to run his sales office.
It's an older version, I think, but I'll be meeting with him later this week to confirm.
Currently, orders are received by him from customers and a sheet is filled out manually and then faxed to the order processing dep't (amazing how some companies are still in the 1980's eh? ). What he'd like to do is to clone the order form in Maximizer (so he can automagically pick up the name and address) and enter the product code, quantity and price and have the extensions calcuated.
Price lookups aren't needed since every client pays a different amount even for the same product.
He'd like to do it within Maximizer instead of a separate database so that he doesn't duplicate data-entry of names and so that the order becomes part of his contact information/customer history.
So I guess the question(s) become:
1) Can the Maximizer Word Processor do this? I need a form with check boxes, lines and a table.
2) If Maximizer can't, I know that Word can be used to create the form--but will the Word documents be linkable to the contact records so he can lookup or review a customer's order history from within their record in Maximizer? And can I easily grab his Maximizer data to fill in fields in Word?
3) Can CABC's stuff be used to create the forms within Maximizer's Word Processor and maintain the link to the customer history?
Long-winded question, I know. I hope there's an answer .
Thanks in advance
