CRM11 restore from backup

Please make sure that when you use Maximizer back up and restore in version 10 or above that the target disc is a local drive (eg cSmile and not a USB drive or a drive on which you have compression or encryption enabled as this may cause the underlying SQL back-up to have difficulty working with your back-up file.
It seems that the backup and restore functionality doesn't work out of the box. Often to restore database changes need to be made in sql server management console to correctly restore and open the database. In my case it was irrelevant if the database was on a USB or the hard disk as they both didn't work.
I am glad to have it sorted out though, and a lot of staff here seem to like it.
