Datamanager returned an error code of 3

Occasionally getting error:
Datamanager returned an error code of 3
A NO OPEN error occurred on the 'Cross Reference' file.

Exiting the program and restating stops this. Anyone have any ideas why it's doing this? Should I do an reinstall? Using Maximizer on laptop (stand along), on a home network. On Pentium III 600, Windows XP. Thanks

In my experiance generally this error code is a one off fluke, and nothing really to worry about.

I have once, however, had an error 3 go away after reassigning the Gateway locator. But i'm inclinded to thing that was a pure coincidence.

We had this error code when we renamed the mxdrb.max file in order to recreate the file.
