Hi,

I am curious why anyone would be creating databases so frequently that you would need to default this. I have to so I don't know how to go about this or indeed if it is possible.

I would suggest that one carefully designed database is enough to handle almost any companies requirements.

This has the advantage that it is easier to maintain in the sense you don't need to add a new user into multiple databases etc. Less paths to backup etc.

It is possible to make Maximizer behave as if it is many databases by careful use of the groups function. UDF's can be assigned to groups, of which Users can be members, the same applies to Companies, in Maximizer Enterprise this applies to opportunities as well. This means you can easily allow users to only see the parts of the database you actually wish them to see.

For example, we have a product Quickdesk which we use to manage our support service. Quickdesk inherits its user rights from Maximizer this means that anyone can open a call, but only members of the Maximizer team "Support" can close a help desk call.
