Documents logging in notes

Is there a way to write a document for an address book entry, and have it generate a note at the same time? (without printing it?)

Esentially what I am trying to do is to generate a report that would print all address book entries with notes and documents that were created TODAY. In a way, it would summarize today's activities, whether they are notes or documents for an individual.
