Hi,

My organization is about to upgrade to Windows Vista but we're not interested in upgrading to Max 10.0. Does anyone know if this will be a problem or has anyone gone through the same process? I've heard that there are some issues with Vista and V9.5 not playing nicely together and I just want to check other sources.

Drew,

This largely depends on which version of Maximizer you are running, pervasive or SQL?

The Pervasive 9.0 Engine provided with Maximizer 9.5 does not work well with Windows Vista, although you may still be able to upgrade this to the 9.5 engine on the Pervasive website.

If you have the SQL version of Maximizer then you don't need to worry about the Pervasive Engine (unless you are running Max Exchange Remotes).

However, Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 is not a certified 100% Windows Vista compatible application so you will likely run into problems with it regardless.

I would strongly recommend you consider going to Max 10 as it is designed to work with Vista.
