Duplicate Records

Hello. 1st post, new user. Long-time Act! user, new to Maximizer 11, but not a novice in these programs.

Anyway, my question relates to (nearly) duplicate records existing in a db. I would like to delete the record with the lesser content. How do I delete the lesser record?

The verification process did not seem to work in allowing these nearly duplicate records. And the only "solution" that I have come across so far is to spend yet more money for an add-on at CABC.

Any other, more frugal, ideas? My db is over 100k records.

You can remove duplicates by hand by using Maximizers Combined Marked Entries facility. Maximizer will merge the data into whichever record has the black arrow in the selection column to the left of the Companies name.

This is very frugal but if you have a 100,000 record database is going to take you a very long time. In this case our de-duplication product may not be such a bad option
