email a photo postcard

i want to email, using mail merge, a letter to my customers which includes a photo of some of my products. i want the customer to see the photo when the email is opened without having to open an attachment. I can not seem to get this to work. whenever i send a graphic as a part of the body of an email it is received as an "@". is there a way of doing what I want to do.

Nope! There is no way to embed a picture in the e-mail without sending it as an attachment. The only thing I've encountered is sending the entire thing as a word attachment that way they read the message and see the picture. Otherwise they may just look at the text and skip looking at the attachment.

Use the Campaign Manager, make an HTML email with pictures of your products an the appropriate Maximizer merge fields. Build the email in an HTML development product like dreamweaver then copy the HTML code and paste it into the campaign manager email template editor. Be sure to save it as HTML not etf and your picture files are available on your web server. Now spam your customer database relentlessly.
