Hi,

We can't use Max. due to all the errors, as follows. We have 4 users and our gateway/database is located on our server, so it is never turned off. We're using Maximizer 7 - Workgroup (not Enterprise).

We have 1 person who has migrated to Maximizer and she is virtually unable to do any work because she keeps getting these errors. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

1) Error code 3110

2) Error code 3006 - microkernal router detected an invalid session - what is this?

3) tried to update our software - I can install Hot Fix #2, but not Hot Fix #1 or SR2. When I try to install SR2, it tells me a) the version I have installed on the system isn't supported by the service release and I should make sure I have Max7 to install. I'm quite sure I do - I bought it directly from Maximizer and it says so on the CD! Why won't the SR2 install recognize I have it?

4) We all keep getting the error message "ODBC driver manager data source name not found and no default driver specified." What does this mean?

Thanks!

3000-series errors indicate problems with machines communicating over the network. If you haven't done so already, check your setup against the instructions here.

If you purchased Max7 recently, you may have been sent a CD that already has SR2 applied. If you can get Maximizer to launch, check Help > About to see what version you have. If it is Series 1250 or later then you already have SR2.

Thanks Gord - you're the man!

RE: series 3000 error messages, I followed these directions...only thing we don't have is a static IP address. On the other hand, the folder is merely on the server, the server isn't actually being used as a Maximizer machine. Could this be the problem?

Also, we're having a problem where we don't get a log on screen when we open Maximizer. This means that we can't open the database. If it does open, nothing is in it. I called Rich, but I guess he's working w/another client today, and my salesperson can't do any work until she can log on. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Alicia
