We are looking for a way to dump all existing data (including notes and attachments) from 2018 R2 Cloud for data auditing purposes. We use a hosted infrastructure. We know how to use Column Setup to export all contact/account data, but we are missing the notes and attachments for each contact.

1) How are notes and documents stored on the backend for the web access version (Is it in folders on the host's machine, in a database, etc?)

2) What is the best way to do this?

The notes and documents are stored in tables in the Maximizer database.  It is possible to extract them if you have the correct expertise with MS SQL server. 

Are you looking to do this as a one off or as regular exercise?
