set up a new address book but cannot see any notes that I have added for a contact. Where are they?

Good Afternoon,
Notes are stored against whichever record you had selected when you wrote the note.
If you use the note search function in the Search Menu you can retrieve all records that were created under your user account in a given date range and check where they were created.
