Hello Folks,
I’m on Max 11, but fairly new to the application. I’ve already read some posts on HTML and am using Maximizers editor for composing email. I know how to Merge Fields and the like. I had our art guy work up a very nice HTML email and he’s given me all the html code. Below is a sample of part of the code.
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<TITLE>GravityDropper Turbo LP</TITLE>

<style type="text/css" media=screen>

My understanding was that I need to paste this code into the body of the outgoing email. Then send the email as HTML. The recipients (provided their email program allowed or prompted for it) would then receive a very fancy looking email from us, just as my art guy designed it.
However, when I tested and sent to myself (Outlook) all I see is the HTML code in the body, just like I sent it. Of course my Outlook is set to accept HTML (and Plain text), and I see these type email all time.
I’ve sifted through the forum and through various setting but can’t seem to see what I’m doing wrong.
I also know that I need to allow for plain text recipients to receive the same email, but to me it seems like they will just see the HTML code, not the fancy stuff. Is there a way around this?
The help is much appreciated!

6/28/13 Update. So we fingued out how to imbed the html code using Attach File>Insert>Insert as Text with Outlook. Its simple. However, Maximizer does not seem to have the same ability. You can attach a file (of couse) but not with the Insert as Text option that Outlook give you. Any ideas on how to overcome this? Since Max is a CRM I'm sure this is a simple function that we're just missing.

I now understand that the terminology for what we are trying to do is "html email with cascading style sheets included".

I have also noted that I can switch the Maximizer preferene to Outlooks email compose utility. Of course I can then get the html and css correct, but loose access to the Merge Fields and Templates of Maximizer. Ug....there must be a way to do this all in Maximizer!

Thanks!
