We are considering switching to Maximizer and have purchased a copy of 7.0 When I transferred my ACT database it didn't seem to transfer the calls, meetings and to do lists. Am I missing something?
The ACT importer shipped with Maximizer is not perfect! We have developed our own in house ACT importer which retains your Groups and de-duplicates your data (ACT databases frequently have duplicates due to the way companies are stored in the database)
If you wish us to quote to convert your data then please send a sample to support@cabc.co.uk and we will be happy to give you a fixed price quotation.
My database imported okay. It took some work to properly clean up my ACT database but I finally got it. Why doesn't the Scheduled ACT Meetings, TO Do, and calls transfer to the Maximizer calander.
The more I read this forum the more I think I should stay with ACT until Maximizer get thier act together and is able to provide the support and services that ACT and Goldmine does.
I can't even find a book for Maximizer at the bookstore. The manual leaves a lot to be desired.
Your reseller will be able to forward useful suggestions onto Multiactive, but bear in mind that they recieve vast quantities of suggestions so a personal reply is unlikely.
I have spent a month now using Max 7 and although it has some good features it pales next to ACT. Reading the posts on this board I wonder why anyone continues to use Maximizer. Poor support from the company, very little 3rd party support, poor documentation etc.
Thanks for the help but I will be signing off until MultiActive gets it act together. I might revisit the product again at that time.
I am sorry to hear about your problems with Maximizer.
Everyone has their own preferences but Maximizer does have a number of advantages over ACT! Your best bet is to find a good reseller who will enable you to experience the benefits.
CABC have worked with Maximizer since it's first release and pride themselves in providing first class support, training and consultancy.
We have also heavily invested in Maximizer add-on products to enhance product capability for our customers.
