Importing from Outlook

The best way to import is to register your csv file in tab file (.txt) and to use the two tier import.

we did this (actually got our supplier to do it) it took three or 4 attempts to get it right (ie the right field in the right place) so try it on a small range of addresses first!

I just wish there was a place you could get detailed instructions on how to do this. I have always myself to be relatively computer savvy, but, boy, I have been lost on this one.

This should be a very easy process.

1) Export data from Outlook, saving as csv file as previously mentioned.

2) Importing is in 2 stages: Companies, and the Contacts.

3) Company import: match up company fields, i.e. address, company name, and any other fields pertaining to the company.

4) Contact import: must included company name in this import, so it knows where to put the contacts. Only other fields to include are fields specific to the contact, i.e. email address, specific phone numbers, etc.

Maximizer importing is actually rock solid & very fast.
