Importing problems

Hi:
I've got a really odd problem and hope someone can help.
We are working with Maximizer 5. We are importing address lists from a program called "MDSelect". The program is set up to export to Maximizer and mostly it works very well except for one thing. MDSelect doesn't put use '1' at the begining of phone numbers, BUT it needs to be in our Maximizer records to allow us to merge smoothly to WinFax. Without it WinFax doesn't dial the long distance number properly. I think Maximizer will do it if I can figure out how to set 'dialing preferences' correctly. Can someone help? Thanks much.
