We have been running maximizer 9 on 3 pc's which were running XP, with the Maximizer files being stored on a Linux server. We have now upgraded 2 of these PC's which of course are shipped with Vista. We have installed Maximizer 9 on the new PC's along with pervasive and the update as per the instructions on the maximizer knowledge base.
However when we then try to log on to the database it brings up an error message - Address book is being used by an unknown user, when no one is actually accessing the address book. Has any one come up against this problem before? Has anyone got any ideas as to how we could solve it.
Thanks

Noel

Right, sorry about the delay here.

First off you should be aware that Maximizer Software do not support the use of Linux at all in any capacity, even as a simple file server.

Secondly, Maximizer verson 9 is not a 100% Vista Compliant Application, especially the Pervasive Version. In order to successfully have Pervasive operating on Vista you need to locate Pervasive 9.5 and install it on all machines, under Vista it must run as Administrator.

Finally the new version of Maximizer (v10) is Vista compliant and most companies (as well as Maximizer themselves) will recommend to you that use that version instead.
