I am getting an occasional error of 'Invalid File Name on ....' but the actual file name varies.

I searched the Max. knowledge base and it offers several suggestions:
1. Check the MAXWIN.INI file - OK, but I cannot find a file anywhere on my hard drives matching this name.

2. It then offers a suggestion that the BREQUEST is being loaded properly and that the only ones are in the WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory - well, the only files I can see with WBT* are two WBTRV32.dll files - one in WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 and one in PVSW/BIN - but none of the others listed in the article.

In both cases I am searching hidden files.

I have tried backup/restore but no joy. If I ignore the error, everything appears to continue OK.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your quick response. I have been waiting for it to happen again so that I can answer your questions specifically.

Maximizer v6.0 with SP installed.

I will e-mail to support@cabc.co.uk the error message as it appears - "DataManager returned an error code 11" - "An INVALID FILE NAME error occured in the 'Appointments' file". Sometimes it mentions the 'names' file instead.

I normally occurs soon after starting Maximizer, but not immediately (say 5 minutes or so). The 'names' message is usually sometime after this.

I used to have MaxFinder started and also Outlook Synchronisation on - but these have both been turned off in an attempt to prevent the problem, but to no avail.

Hope this helps.
