I am trying to setup envelopes in Max9 PE. When I select the printer & DL envelope I get the message:

Invalid Margins
The current printer cannot print outside these margins

Then gives me some margin settings. When I click OK to this message it does not apply these margin settings. I then manually set the margin settings to those recommended in the meassage but I still get the same message. At this point I cannot get out of this window so I have to close Max thru the Task Manager. I tried several diffrent margin settings but still get the same message.

This also happens when trying to setup labels too. Any ideas? TIA

I'm having the same problem 3 years later, with Max CRM Entrepreneur 10. I have a Canon 4350d laser printer. I've tried all combinations of setup in the printer setup and in Maximizer. My problem is I cannot get the return address to print on the top left corner of a size 10 envelope. It prints on the top left of what would be a letter size paper (i.e., off the envelope as the printer feeds the envelopes down the middle of the paper feed instead of one side. If I try to change the margins, I get the "printer can't print outside these margins" but it won't accept any new margin settings. The other odd thing is everytime I press OK, the margins the error box tells me the printer can't print outside of change.

Very perplexing. Any suggestions?

Try changing the Measurements setting from Imperial to Metric or Vice Versa, sometimes Printer Drivers do not read the data coming from Maximizer correctly and they misinterpret Inches as Centimeters or the other way round, this can cause and error message like this one to occur.

I would also suggest you make sure you are running the absolute latest set of Drivers for your given printer.
Thanks very much!! Yes, that was the trick, setting it to imperial units. I had it in metric.

I'll check the printer drivers, but changing the units did the trick. Plus I set up a custom envelope size of 9.5" X 4.2" as the return address was falling too far down on the default size 10 envelope setting. All is good now.

thanks very much,
-Tony
