If you're using EMail within Max, just drag the Email over the desired Address Book entry and it will ask if you wishto have the email become a Document for that entry (there are other options as well). Say yes and you are prompted for what to name it, and it will appear in the Documents pane for that Address Book entry, complete with attachments. It will be shared, you can forward it or reply to it, etc. But please keep in mind when you're replyuing, forwarding etc. that you will be using Maximizer's email client.

We recently had to reinstall maximizer on one of our computer's (we have a license for six computers), following the reinstallation we encountered an difference within the application. We use Microsoft Outlook as our e-mail application. When we select the email window in Maximizer to attach an e-mail to a contact in Maximizer, we can only view the contents of our inbox, whereas some of our colleges are able to view their other folders e.g sent emails. Is there anyone that may be able to give us some suggestions of why this has happend and how we can rectify it.

Thank you for your time it is much appreciated.
CABC Support,

Thank you for your quick response although when i went through your suggested steps to rectifying the problem the checkbox was already unchecked, have you got any other suggestions? also when i start up Maximizer two messages are displayed the first says "To use Maximizer's email features, you need a compatible email client (e.g. outlook...) installed and properly configured on your computer." however my colleges do not get this message and still have the same problem. The second message says "Maximizer is currently only able to support Microsoft Outlook functionality via Simple MAPI." Please help me, the head of IT hasn't a clue and basically relying on me to find a solution ANY help atall is much appreiciated.

Thank you for your time,

Kind regards
Afternoon Randall,

My guess, in this case, would be then that you are using an e-mail client that does not supported Extended MAPI connections.

If you are using Outlook Express or MS Outlook (Internet Only Version) or even some old versions of MS Outlook then you only have access to the Simple MAPI interface which in turn only allows Maximizer to display the basic inbox.

You need to ensure all your office computers run a fully featured 100% MAPI compliant e-mail system such as MS Outlook Corporate & Workgroup edition.

The message you recieve saying "Maximizer is currently only able to support Microsoft Outlook functionality via Simple MAPI." is telling you that the machine you are starting Maximizer on does not a full corporate mail client on it and as such on the most basic features are available.

I'm afraid that there is nothing we can do about that as the problem is with the e-mail software not Maximzer. You need to talk to your internal IT people and ensure that a fully feature MAPI compliant e-mail client, such as MS Outlook Corporate & Workgroup edition (2000, 2003 or 2007), is installed.
Good Afternoon,

The version of outlook is 2000 Porfessional and in theory should be able to support the needed MAPI settings as we used to be able to... untill we reinstalled the programs (Maximizer and Outlook). As an example, computer A has Windows XP with office 2003 and works fine, computer B has Windows XP with office 2000 and doesn't work, computer C has Windows 2000 and Office 2000 and used to work fine as the case with computer D but do not any more since re-installation. It looks like Windows 2000 doesn't support the necessary settings but just don't understand how it used to be able to and not now :s We really can't get our head around this one but thanks with all your help and we will have just keep trying.

Kind Regards
Hello again,

Just thought i would let you know we managed to crack it! It wasn't untill we decided to install everything onto a test PC and try some different settings when setting up Outlook and Maximizer, I saw the option to choose either Internet E-mail or corperate & workgroup E-mail and thought we might be onto somthing after remembering you talking about having that option. I'm just glad we managed to get around the problem and once again thank you for your help and time.

Kind regards
