OKKARL, I've been getting the same error message from Maximizer. I initially thought it might be my Window's Firewall or, maybe, Norton. However, disabling either one, or both, did not resolve the issue. I'm under the impression that the update manager is looking for a modem rather than a network connection. If you have a second, you might try connecting your computer directly to a phone line to see if that resolves the problem. That's my next step. Let me know how you end up. Neal.
