I think you will have fixed this by now. Probably the SQL had failed to start up and will be ok the next time you start your pc. If you still have the problem make sure that the SQL service for Maximizer is actually running and give it a little while to do database recovery if you have to start it. Its very difficult on the whole to damage SQL databases but if you have actually managed to do this then you'll probably need assistance from someone with knowledge about SQL database recovery.

Well it did turn out that the database in question was toasted. max support couldn't do anything either. the back up was just a few days old, so restoring it wasnt too bad, but another reminder to backup often.
