Hmmm ... Did you select View > All Address Book Entries? (making sure you had clicked in the Address Book first). If you have Address Book entries visible and the Notes are missing, are "Show All" and "Show Logged Notes" checked? Do you mean the Icon Bar (with buttons for Address Book, Email, etc.) is the toolbar not working? If so, are the Tool Bar Options not working when you click on them or does the Tool Bar not show up? If it doesn't show, up, select View > Toolbars > ToobarOfChoice and make sure "Visible" is checked. Are the functions on the Toolbars working if you use the menus?

Other than that, need more detail to go on. Exactly what steps do you use to go into Max? Exactly what is/is not showing? At what point? What does "not working" mean?, etc. How did you fix the "other computer" when this happened? Are you running stand-alone or on a network? Etc.

Finally, if you want a really quick resolution I'd highly recommend calling a Max Business Partner (I assume this is the case if all your data simply disappears and the toolbars aren't working any more!). If you want a recommendation, let us know where you are and I'm sure someone will be pleased to pass on the contact info for their favourite Partner.
