MaData6.Dat is the file that replaces maxwin.exe in Version 6. It holds all the data for maximizer to run, ie communication between pervasive and Maximizer.

The Madata6 error that occurs is a cloudy one, it can happen at the most unexpected moments.

You could try;

Rename BPwindow folder (in C:\Program files\Maximizer) to BPwindowX (if client is not using Orderdesk)

Clean out Temp folder on each workstation.

Shut down Virus Checker while using Maximizer (if not possible, then maybe just script blocking?)

Use the minimum amount of programs whilst using Maximizer, because resource issues have been known to also cause GPF errors.

A Backup and restore sort of re-indexes the data. An optimised backup and restore works or you could create a blank new Maximizer 7 address book and to use the transfer addressbook entries from that address book to the newly created one, this one will be ok as long as there are no opportunaties.

its also a good Idea to install the latest drivers for the system devices, network drivers, e.t.c. As the faster the access to the data the less chance of getting a MaData6.dat error.

Maximiser (7.5) crashes and comes up with the madata6.dat application error, when trying to select more than one contact from the results window (after a search). A selection of contacts are selected, then right click and 'send email', and send to all.

The email appears with all the addresses in - however after a few seconds the error message appears and Maximiser closes.

I've tried clearing the temp file, re-installing etc. We use Outlook as our email profile. This is only happening on one machine in our office.

Can anyone help ?
