I'm banging my head on one of those "there *must* be a way" issues. My company needs to track time spent on customer service cases for invoicing purposes. Seems like something that, perhaps, should have been thought of long ago. You only get one generic 'case fee' field in the customer service 'solution information and billing' pane, however.
I need to be able to associate a time quantity (ie.,'0.25' to represent 15 minutes since our QB rates are hourly) to each manual note within a customer service case that is assigned a 'Customer Billable' category (or similar). Ultimately, when my bookkeeper goes to do invoicing (we use accountinglink), she should be able to add an invoice in Max and pull all outstanding note/times into the invoice automagically using the note Text field as the description.
At this point, I'm prepared (reluctantly) to accept that such functionality is simply MIA within Max. So the follow-on becomes...can anyone give a rough idea of time and cost involved for an experienced third party to code this? What other info would be required?
