Max 6 and Eudora Pro email

OK, maybe I was being a little dense. A more detailed search on the Maximizer FAQs on the Multiactive site has answered my own question.

Eudora Pro and Outlook Express are Simple MAPI programs. The Maximizer Email window will ONLY show the Inbox.

Apparently, if you use an Extended MAPI program, like Microsoft Outlook or Exchange, Maximizer can show other things, including any personal folders.

Are there any non-Microsoft mail programs that do extended MAPI? Or is it another Microsoft "enhancement"?

We do not want to subject ourselves to the security risks of running Outlook as a mail client, with all the mass mailing viruses that target it.

So, does this mean that everyone with Simple MAPI mail programs is processing all their email from their Inbox, without any mail filters?

Are there any other practises, hurdles or other tips that anyone else can offer about email integration with Maximizer?

Unfortunatly, Simple MAPI (which Eudora uses) will only display limited Email integration.

Extended MAPI (avialable only with MS Exchange Server - Outlook Corporate/Workgroup) is what you need to view sub-folders.
