Hi,
After having upgraded a significant number of users to Maximizer 6 i've noticed a few issues with the regard to e-mail in Maximizer. We're running Eudora 5.1 but I've tried Outlook as well and seen the same things. Has anyone else found these problems?/got any solutions? Here we go:
1. In File/Preferences/E-mail there are two options called "Read Messages Using E-mail Service Provider's Editor" & "Compose Messages Using E-mail Service Provider's Editor". Now is it me or do these options just not do anything at all? I was hoping that by ticking the 'Read' one users would be able to view HTML formatted e-mails, unlike using the Maximizer viewer where you just see the source code.
2. E-mail's with attachments. 9 times out of 10 e-mails with attachments save fine but occasionally when you try and save one it just locks up Maximizer with the save document dialog box on the screen. It's not just with certain files. I've tried saving the same e-mail many times and most of the time it's fine, sometimes it locks up. Doesn't make any difference if the address book is on a server or local.
3. CC's. It's annoying that when sending a e-mail to multiple people that you can either do a TO,CC or BCC to them all. Not a combination. Also, why is it when you click the CC button in the Compose E-mail Message window does it bring up your e-mail clients address book. It would be nice if you could add extra people from the Maximizer database.
Well, I obviously don't expect any magical solutions, just thought I'd share. It would be nice to hear others comments.
thanks,
Ben
