Anyone have any opinions on which way to go? (ie - Set up both companies and employees as Individuals then Relate them, or use Max's standard Company/Contact structure).

My feelings so far are :

Company/Contact pros :
- Max is set up that way (seems more "natural", but who cares, right?)
- Contacts can share addresses (saves admin)

Company/Contact cons :
- Can't move contacts between Company's (if someone changes company's you have to disable old Contact and create a new one, so Notes, etc. aren't all in one place)

Individual/Related pros :
- Can change a person's relationship to a different Company when they change jobs) Keeps all Notes, etc. in one place for them)

Individual/Related cons :
- Have to re-type addresses for each new person

Is this all there is? Any other issues? Reporting issues? etc.? Any recommendations?

As background, we are using Max to record clients & candidates for a recruiting business.

Thanx for your help - R.

I would use the company/contact record. Relationships in Maximizer is underdeveloped because you cant report on it. I tried to write a query that shows the relationships (i could use the query to make crystal report) and it worked but it would duplicate the relationship showing both Parent Child then the next line Child Parent. Maybe ill give it another go soon.

If you have found a great way to use relationships id love to hear it.
