We are using max6 and pervasive 2000.Our problem is that we cant get the true client server to work.Weve checked our pervasive setting with max and pervaisive still no go.

What happens when we run max6 is that the cursor switches between it self and hour glass for a while and then gives the error message illegal operation Maxwin caused invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll

Weve been told to leave max finder and max alarm off as that runs a local engine wich causes problems we done this but still get this error.

Has anyone eleas had this problem?

Have you applied the Max 6 Service Pack 2 and disabled OrderDesk - by renaming or deleting the BPWindow folder in Program files/maximizer/plugins?

What operating system are you running Win 9x or Win2K.
If you are running Win2K or NT check in control panel>system>advanced>environment variables: that you have C:\Pvsw\Bin in your User variables and System Variables

If you are running Win9x goto Start>Run: and type sysedit and check you have
Set path=C:\Pvsw\Bin

Another good place is to type PATH in Ms-Dos or Dos Prompt (depending on what o/s you have)

Next

Try going to Windows Explorer, Drag and Drop the file C:\Pvsw\Bin\W3DBSMGR.EXE into your Windows start up folder, via either your Start Menu or if you know its exact location in Windows Explorer, do it that way.

When it is in your start up folder, Right click it then select properties>Shortcut and where it says Target it should say;

C:\Pvsw\Bin\W3DBSMGR.EXE -BTRV
(You add the -BTRV)

Yes, dont run Max Alarm and Finder if you dont really use them, and BP Window removal definetley helps if you dont use that either.

Hope this helps
