I get the following message when opening MaxExchange 7.5 SERVER

"By first setting up your computer as a gateway for accessing the
synchronized Pervasive Database, the speed of MaxExchange would improve
dramatically. Do you want to quit MaxExchange now so that you can redefine
your gateway?"

The message is telling you that MaxExchange Server should be running on the machine that acts as the Pervasive gateway. Setting up a fixed gateway is covered in the Administrator's Guide.
