MaxExchange remote locks up during packed processing

MaxExchange starts processing a packet and after 63% stops.

You can pause-resume, but nothing else happens.

The only way to stop it is to taskkill. Next time, MaxExchange runs, the same thing. Processing 63%...

spdm.exe uses 100% of the processor time.

Any idea?
