Hiya.

Just going up the learning curve of Maximizer 7 and was not able to find a solution to the following situation:

I have a company with several contacts, whereas one particular contact is also a private client of our firm. So this particular individual needs to receive company offerings to his company address, however private offerings to his home address. How would you solve this issue? Would you enter the contact twice (not preferred solution)? To beef-up the whole problem: this particular contact spends alomst half of the time at a different home address...

In Outlook it is quite easy to solve such issues by changing the default address.

Thank you very much for your help/insight.

When you say that in Outlook you can do it by changing the default address, what does that mean? Because you can do the same thing in Max - at least, if my perception of what "changing the default address" means.

Also, to restate the problem - is the issue that the person has 3 different addresses and needs to have different subject material sent to different addresses? ie - Company info to Company address, private info to home address?

Offhand, I'd look in the direction of :

1) Setting up a User Defined Field (UDF) controlling what info goe where (ex UDF = "Info Sent To", Options = "Company = Work", "Personal = Home", etc.

2) Setting up the person as a Contact within a Company

3) Adding Mailing Addresses to the Company in a carefully controlled sequence or structure, using the Description to control their order (ex 1_Company, 2_Home, etc.)

4) Create a macro or some routine that changes the selected address for each Contact to what you want depending on what's being sent

5) When sending, use a Search to select the right Contacts (see #1 above)

6) Run the macro or routine created in #4 ro change the selected Mailing Address as desired

7) do the mailing

Not totally sure how this would work out, but that's the direction I'd explore based on your initial email.

Hi Montana - sorry, but I don't have details. To provide them I'd have to spend some time playing with both the address setup (for which I'd need more details from you) and the options for a macro or routine, and unfortunately I don't have that time to spare. Essentially, it's a consulting project. I'd suggest you find a Max Business Partner who can be of assistance - I believe there's one that supports this board (CABC), and based on your name I'd guess there may be others closer to you.
