I'm looking for any info on implementing Maximizer 7 in a Windows 2000 Terminal Server environment. Specifically, any info on server sizing for 10-15 Maximizer 7 users via terminal services. Am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction (or any direction, since the tech rep at Maximizer sent me here Wink).

Thanks.

Terminal Services in my experience requires quite a bit of resources. Duel P3 700 mhz 1.5 BG memory allowed 15 concurrent users. You can however use Multiple servers to service more than 15 concurrent users. Load a Maximizer Client install on each terminal server.

Email profile could be Exchange if that is what your using. Access to your personal ost or pst file is required to see your email when using terminal services.

Like I said previously I have only had success with Maximizer SQL, the Pervasive version would not work for me. If you are using Pervasive you should use MaxExchange.
re: Pervasive and TS

There used to be a couple of documents in the knowledge base http:// support.multiactive.com/scripts/support.exe regarding TS configuration tips. You could try searching for 'citrix' and see if they're still there.

Also, for Pervasive client/server the P.SQL server engine could not be installed on the Terminal Server; it had to be on a separate box. Dunno if that's still the case, however....

Thanks PillPopper,

That's the info i needed. The KB docs on the Maximizer website give information on installation and configuration requirements - but nothing on the server sizing specs. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks also to Gord. The reqirement for the SQL / Pervasive engine being on a seperate server still holds true - at least as per Microsoft supported models.
