Hello, I am having a problem with the Notes section. I have an error message that keeps popping up saying: Data manage returned an error code of 2.

The is says: An I/O error occured on the 'Notes' file, the file is propbabley damaged. refer for details on recovering damaged files.

I have not got a clue how to sort this and there is nothing in the book to explain it.

Can anyone help please.

One of the files in your Maximizer database is damaged.

I would recommend you close Maximizer and make a copy (as a back-up) of all the data files. Having done this you should attempt to run a Maximizer back-up and restore (see manual) on the damaged file (in this case notes).

PLEASE NOTE: This procedure can result in the total loss of the damaged file which is why it is imperative that you make a safe copy before attempting the back-up/restore.

If this procedure does not resolve the issue we may be able to help you recover the file as a consultancy activity. Please contact us directly.

Having resolved the issue you may wish to consider upgrading to a newer version of Maximizer as it no longer uses the pervasive database engine and similar errors are virtually unknown.
