Maximizer 7 restore from .MAX files

Hello. I have a Windows XP Pro computer and Max locks up on the splash screen and no matter what Ive tried I can get it to start.

So I have another XP computer and I installed Max 7 there and it works no problem but I cant seem to get the old Address books to be recognized.

I have tried going to File>New and then specifying the existing folder but nothing happens when I do that.

Any suggestions?

Although there could be a number of problems a common issue with pervasive databases is that the database locator file has somehow become directed to the wrong place. Look in the folder where the data is located and if you can see a file called ~PVSW~.LOC delete or rename this file and try again (it will automatically be recreated)
