Morning all,

I am new to Maximizer and very new to this forum (as you can see this is my first post here Big Grin).

I have been asked to create interface for end users which can be integrated into maximizer 8 Ent. The option for adding an opportunity within maximizer is bit complicated for end users and they have asked us to develop more userfriendly interface.

This has been done previously using vb6.0 but there are few problems with it. The biggest problem is that we now use VS 2005 which is .net. My question to you all (experienced) people is, can we use modules/com objects of Maximizer 8 Ent in .net? If yes, then where can I find them?

Many thanks

Regards

Good Morning,

Writing addins or additional interfaces to Maximizer is a complex job that requires quite a lot of knowledge of the way Maximizer works and what its various interfaces are.

Since the version of Maximizer you are working with here is no longer supported by the manufacturer the customisation suite, which contains information on the programming interfaces and database structure, is no longer available I'm afraid.

I would suggest that you contact your business partner with your requirements and see if they can assist with developing you a solution.

CABC also offers a full development service, if you would like to discuss the requirements for this interface with us you can contact our sales department on 01635 570970.

The final option is to have a look at user training. Often the interfaces within Maximizer can appear complex but when fully understood they are actually quite speedy to use and very flexible. CABC also offers a full training service, you can discuss training options with our sales dept on the same number as I mentioned above.
Many thanks for your quick reply. I had a feeling that it might be discontinued product as I saw Maximizer 10 advertised on the company site.

The only problem is, I have no idea whom the company have been dealing with regards to maximizer in the past as I have recently joined the company. All I am aware of is that there a quite alot of sales staff and management who is using the software already (with an interface which was integrated back in 2006 by another programmer). Now some staff members are having few issues with the interface so the management passed the project over to me to check the system and modify it as needed.

I thought I could bring in COM controlls across to .net and start the process fresh instead of digging deep into vb6.0 and try to make sense out of what someone else has done.

I guess I have to work my way out using VB6. Frown

Anyhow, I'd like to thank once again for your quick reply.

Many thanks

Regards
