We have currently have maximizer installed on a server, and 5 users with maximizer on their local machines using the address books on the server.

We are only able to get one user logged in concurrently. If any other users log in we get the "The maximum number of your Pervasive licensed users has been reached. Contact Maximizer Technical Support to upgrade your Pervasive user count." message.

We have 6 maximizer licences and pervasive licence administrator on the server tells me that we have 9 pervasive workgroup licences.

I used the gateway locator to set the gateway to be the server, then when I tried to open the address book on a workstation maximizer hangs for ~60 seconds then remains at the open address book dialog without giving an error message.

Some days maximizer will seem to work fine, other days we will get this message.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I logged into the server and used the Pervasive Gateway Locator Utility and set the target directory to the local path of address book, then set the gateway.

Now it seems everyone is able to login fine. Before I was using the network share path and it wasn't working.

so apparently:

C:\..\AddressBookName - Good
\\server\addressbookshare - BAD

even if the share is fully writable?

I will follow up if this did not fix it
