we are using Maximizer 6.0 with SP 2 and SP3 in a Peer-to-Peer environment. The data is on a server running Windows 2000 Small Business Server.

One workstation, also using Windows 2000, accessing this data is crashing when the user tries to change the 'Tabbed Windows' setting.

They have 'save settings on exit' but because of the crash, the settings are not saved.

The message says that Maximizer has generated an error log, but does not say where.

No other workstation appears to be affected.

I tried removing Maximizer and re-installing, but the problem remains.

Any ideas?

FWIW, it probably means

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\DrWatson\drwtsn32.log

Have you tried turning it off? AFAIK the old [Shift-Alt-F4] trick will still save the settings without exiting Maximizer.

Apart from that, it sounds like it's time to search for and temporarily disable the usual suspects: AV software, exotic 3rd-party device drivers (video, mouse, NIC, etc.), bad karma, .... Wink
