Hi,
I am looking for an alternative to Maximizer Enterprises MaxExchange to synchronize Maximizer (Pervasive) databases of several users.

Pervasive DataExchange is a synchronization tool for distributed databases which seems to be able to do the job.

Does someone have experience with this?

Or is there any other way to synchronize the data bases of several Maximizer users?

Thanks

Hi, Roland.

I think the best answer to your question is "not likely".

Several years ago I was at a Maximizer training course for their SQL version. One of the questions that came up was "Can we use SQL Server replication instead of MaxExchange?" The answer (my paraphrasing) was "No, because in order for SQL Server replication to function correctly the database has to be designed for SQL Server replication, and Maximizer databases are not set up that way."

I suspect that Maximizer databases are not designed for Pervasive DataExchange synchronization either.
