Hi David,
Unfortunatly there is no fix for this problem under Maximizer 5.0. I would just make sure you are running Maximizer and not Maximizer Enterprise 5.0 as this has been resolved in that version of the product.
It is fixed in later versions. I don't know if you can still get a preferential price upgrade for Max 5.0 to Max 6.0 but I'm pretty certain you can.
