I may be flogging a dead horse here. But i have read everything i can find on Email Integration with Maximizer Enterprise, and still cannot get it to function correctly.

In Outlook / Maximizer Synchronization
1. My Users complain about delays in synchronization, that emails in Outlook do not always appear in Max. Also, there are complaints due to the extended process just to send an email with all of the prompts. I have looked at security sections, and cannot find a way to reduce or eliminate this yet.
2. Even though in Maximizer under preferences, it is set to save a copy to documents in the Contact entry, it still refuses to display. Users are able to see emails sent and recieved from a specific contact by selecting the contact and then going to email, but this is a lengthy process and not entirely usefull.

Outlook Express Integration
1. Users cannot see their sent items folder, to review the emails they have sent, this creates an issue with users having a tendency to send emails through whatever program they happen to be in at the time, thus I expect it to cause future problems in anticipation of getting saved documents of emails in Maximizer.
2. Copies of Emails are not saving anywhere in Maximizer under the contact, or company. Same thing as in Outlook.
3. Outlook Express, even though the setting for 'Warn me when other programs try to send mail' is not selected, still warns. How do you really turn off this feature?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is creating inaccurate records

Maximizer does not "synchronize" its Email with Outlook. It uses MAPI to read the mail folders that Outlook uses, where possible (see below).

Are you using Microsoft Exchange Server? Is Outlook using offline folders, or local .pst's, or what?

p.s. You haven't even told us what version of Outlook you're using.

I've been told of a little utility called ClickYes that's supposed to help. Never tried it myself, though.

I dunno, it works for me....

You're right - they can't. OE uses Simple MAPI, so all you get is your Inbox. To see the other folders you need to use a mail client that implements Extended MAPI, such as Outlook (CW).

I dunno, it still works for me.... (You are looking in the Documents window and not the Email window, right...?)

Again, what version are you using? I have OE6 and it hasn't pestered me at all (since I told it not to).

Thank you for the prompt reply. I will give more details, (I forgot first time)

Outlook Express Version - 6.01 (I think, just updated from web on Saturday)
Outlook Versions
vary from 98 through.

Re : Documents Window,
If by Documents Window, you mean the window containing the Customer Service, Notes, User Defined Fields, Documents tabs. Then, yes I am looking in all of them.

Maximizer Updates :

I am using SR3 on all of the clients, all updated from initial, to SR3 incrementally.

Thanks. Confused
Interesting,

When i go to File ... Email from the toolbar, the whole process shows up, this seems to activate a merge style approach. However, when i send an email from the Company / Contact view either from button on top, or right clicking, there is no saved documents.

Thank You for your help, its a good workaround, although not quite a long term solution.
