In the preferences section of Max 9 ( personal) I can select a conflict resolution of: Maximizer overrides or Outlook overrides.
Could someone confirm or clarify my understanding of the conflict rules?
..If a record exists in Outlook and not in Maximizer
If Max. overrides: the record is not added?
If Outlook overrides the record is added?
..If a record exists in Maximizer and not in Outlook
If Max. overrides: the record is added?
If Outlook overrides therecord is not added?
..If a record exists in both Maximizer and Outlook-do the same rules apply at the field level?( for those fields that Maximizer recognizes) ??

Have you thought of testing it?

Just add a record in Max, see what happens. Change the flag, add another record to Max, see what happens. Add another record to the Outlook, see what happens. Change the flag, add another record to Outlook, see what happens. Try the same type of thorough, yet very simple testing, when you simply change a field?

Document the results. Maybe even share them with the rest of us?

Just a thought.

OK-Phase 1 of testing:
I set up Maximizer favourite pointing to my Outlook test contact list of 1 record.
I set Outlook to override. After the synch The record was added to Maximizer. Basic fields were sent: name, busines address, tel. numbers, department. That appears to be it.?

I added a record to Maximizer. Set the preferences to maximizer overrides. After the synch my original record in outlook was deleted replaced by my the new record I had added.

This appears to be a bug??
Are other people getting this??
